Personalise your SIGNAL

The SIGNAL Test already covers the major areas. Add depth where it matters to you. Add or remove any time before you pay.

  • Hormones+

    +$119

Your key sex hormones and the signals that regulate them.

    Adds 7 markers

    • Total testosterone
    • SHBG
    • Free testosterone
    • LH
    • FSH
    • Oestradiol
    • Prolactin
    Why these markers

Total testosterone, SHBG and calculated free testosterone show where your hormones sit and how much is actually available to your body. LH, FSH, oestradiol and prolactin add the signals that regulate them, so you see the system, not one number.

For you if You want to understand your hormones properly, not guess from how you feel.

    • Total testosterone
    • SHBG
    • Free testosterone · calculated
    • LH
    • FSH
    • Oestradiol
    • Prolactin

7 additional markers on top of the 32 in every SIGNAL.

  • Nutrients+

    +$109

Vitamin D, B12 and folate, measured rather than assumed.

    Adds 3 markers

    • Vitamin D
    • Vitamin B12
    • Folate
    Why these markers

The three nutrients people most often supplement without knowing where they sit. Measure first, then decide what's worth taking and what isn't.

For you if You take, or are thinking about taking, supplements.

    • Vitamin D
    • Vitamin B12
    • Folate

3 additional markers on top of the 32 in every SIGNAL.

  • Heart+

    Advanced+$219

The particle-level cholesterol markers most check-ups never run.

    Adds 4 markers

    • ApoB
    • ApoA1
    • Lp(a)
    • ApoB:ApoA1 ratio
    Why these markers

ApoB counts the particles that carry cholesterol, ApoA1 the ones that help clear it, and Lp(a) is a marker set largely by your genes that most people have never had measured. Together they add depth to the standard lipid panel in every SIGNAL.

For you if Heart health matters to you and you want more than the standard cholesterol panel.

    • ApoB
    • ApoA1
    • Lp(a)
    • ApoB:ApoA1 ratio · calculated

4 additional markers on top of the 32 in every SIGNAL.

  • Thyroid+

    +$139

The active thyroid hormones and antibodies, beyond TSH.

    Adds 4 markers

    • FT4
    • FT3
    • TPO antibodies
    • Tg antibodies
    Why these markers

TSH, in every SIGNAL, is the control signal. Free T4 and free T3 are the hormones it controls, and two antibody markers add context that TSH alone can't. The full thyroid picture, not just the headline.

For you if You want the full thyroid picture, not just TSH.

    • Free T4
    • Free T3
    • TPO antibodies
    • Thyroglobulin antibodies

4 additional markers on top of the 32 in every SIGNAL.

  • Performance+

    For performance+$69

Muscle load, stress and recovery markers for people who train.

    Adds 3 markers

    • CK
    • Cortisol
    • IGF-1
    Why these markers

Creatine kinase reflects recent muscle load, cortisol your stress response, and IGF-1 relates to growth and recovery. Useful when you're training hard and want to see how your body is coping between blocks.

For you if You train most days and want to see how your body is coping and recovering.

    • Creatine kinase
    • Cortisol
    • IGF-1

3 additional markers on top of the 32 in every SIGNAL.

Questions

Good questions, straight answers.

Where can I get collected?

At any participating collection centre, no appointment needed: bring your request form and photo ID. Only 4Cyte Pathology and Australian Clinical Labs centres accept the form; both centre finders are on our collection page. Home or workplace collection is available in selected areas and arranged by phone after payment.

Can someone come to my home?

In selected areas, yes: a qualified collector from Express Pathology comes to your home or workplace at a time you choose. We call you after payment to arrange it and refund the visit fee if we can't reach your address.

Can I retest?

Yes. Retesting is how SIGNAL becomes most useful: each new result is compared with your last, marker by marker. You can book a one-off retest any time, or choose Automatic Retesting after your first test.

Can I cancel Automatic Retesting?

Yes, at any time by emailing us, with no fees. Automatic Retesting uses recurring billing: you're charged the discounted price for each test at the start of each interval, and it continues until you cancel. We email you before every charge.
